Will the Spren scan tell me my bone mineral density?

Our app does not measure bone mineral density. The central dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA or DEXA) scan is the most accurate method for assessing bone mineral density. It uses low levels of radiation to measure calcium and other minerals in the hip and spine, which are areas prone to fractures and important for evaluating bone health. DXA results are highly accurate and informative.

Alternative tests like quantitative ultrasound (QUS) of the heel or peripheral DXA provide some insights into bone health, but they are not as accurate as central DXA.

For the most accurate assessment of bone mineral density, we recommend discussing your concerns with a medical doctor. They can provide personalized guidance and determine the most appropriate course of action for your specific situation.
